Job Description
Ensure shipping and receiving processes are performed efficiently and accurately
Enter job number in WW3 and verify part number and footage
Prepare hose for shipping by creating boxes, filing with applicable hose and quantity, labeling and arranging conformance certificates
Call freight carriers for pickup as needed
Prepare all shipping documents for transfer
Help with unloading trucks and check for damage before accepting deliveries
Receive all raw material, equipment, facility and production supplies into WW3, label accordingly and place in safe area
Assist with maintaining accuracy of inventory in warehouse
Update shipping and receiving logs
Partner with planner, production supervisor and team leads to coordinate communication and efficiency of operation projects
Deliver material to production departments as needed
Act as a backup for pressure test
Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
Report production issues to Direct Lead
Perform work of an equal or lower classification
High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English)
U.S. citizen or permanent residency status required
Must be able to work and communicate with peers
Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English
Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands
Ability to neatly and accurately complete forms and other documentation
Must be comfortable using pallet jack and standing forklift
- Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred
Basic computer skills preferred
Read work orders & specifications with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Physical & PPE Requirements:
Standing, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, work under normal conditions. Must have the physical ability to use hands and arm strength for long periods of time. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required PPE when working in the mfg plant. All PPE provided by Company.
