Job Summary:
Tees and More, LLC, is currently looking for a Silk Screen Print Operator with production facility experience. (Manual and automatic silk screen printing experience required.) Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage production aspects while working with assistants to set up orders on the press
- Lead with instruction, communication, and ask questions when necessary.
- Coat, burn, reclaim, and store screens.
- Staging jobs, mixing custom inks, reclaiming screens, everything from the creation of screens from exposure to print.
- Operate with extremely high standard prints all the while maintaining a neat, clean, organized, fun and collaborative environment.
- We are a rush order business and occasionally work late and step outside of our daily roles.
- Set up screen-print presses by preparing screens and inks.
- Operate the apparel auto-press and manual press by loading and unloading garments.
- Cure finished prints at the correct temperature and place garments on the dryer
- Remove garments from the dryer, sort, count and package the finished product.
- Monitors quality continually and makes adjustments to meet quality standards and salvages products whenever possible.
- Tears down, presses and prepares for the next run.
- Sets up and operates presses for names and numbers.
- Assists in the Signs, Banners, and Embroidery Departments as directed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with M&R Flash, Sportsman, commercial automatic 8- Color press
- Experience with Ink Software system; Wilflex MX Mixing Systems
- Experience with vacuum exposure unit; NuArc MSP 3140
- Ability to set up, run, and teardown print jobs on both manual and automatic screen printing presses
- Understand how to efficiently print jobs and meet deadlines while maintaining a high-quality standard
- General knowledge of shop terms such as mesh count, squeegee pressure and durometer, ink viscosity, and ink opacity
- Ability to properly cure a variety of fabrics without damaging or scorching
- Ability to load and unload garments accurately and at a fast rate
- Awareness of what is on the daily and weekly print schedule
- Ability to show up on time and commit to the printing schedule
- Ability to interact with team members effectively to fulfill daily tasks and successfully complete print jobs
Education and Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of Silk Screen Printing experience (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to carry/lift at least 50 lbs.
