Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly with skip loaders and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe grading operations at construction sites. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various types of heavy machinery, including but not limited to dozers, excavators, dump trucks, and water trucks.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Fine grading dirt and baserock.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the operation of additional machinery such as bulldozers and dump trucks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct inspections of equipment before use to identify any mechanical issues.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to heavy equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loader operation and heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is required to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
- Experience operating tankers or water trucks is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with construction work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the job site location.
