Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in your work? If so, this is the role for you! We are seeking an Edger Operator to join our Auckland Southern Mowing Team, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Team Manager you will be responsible for general green space maintenance across multiple sites in Henderson/Massey and the wider Waitakere area. While your role is primarily edging there is the possibility of doing training and filling in on a mower, you will also be involved in helping the team with planting, weeding, and spraying, whilst making sure things are kept safe for the public, your team, and yourself.
This role doesn’t just apply to edging as you might get asked to help the wider team so you must be eager to get involved with all tasks!
Who we are looking for:
Ideally, we would love someone who has practical experience with small plant equipment or has experience in a similar role. You'll have an awesome work ethic, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors also include:
- A current, full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual
- A willingness to accept responsibility and ownership of jobs whilst working as part of a wider team - helping out your teammates needs to be second nature
- Fit and able to undertake and complete sometimes physical tasks
- Have knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the job
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Tons of motivation with a strong desire to get the job done
