We are three neighboring businesses located in the heart of Norwalk’s trendy, up-and-coming Arts District in the Wall Street neighborhood:
- Bar Bushido: A lively Japanese Izakaya known for its creative, shareable plates and vibrant, energetic vibe — a place where great cocktails and a fun atmosphere come together.
- Salon Etre: A high-end salon focused on luxury, style, and self-care.
- Greer Southern Table: A warm, inviting Southern restaurant known for hospitality and culinary creativity.
We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and trend-savvy social media manager to help us stand out in the neighborhood and build our online presence — across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
This is a unique opportunity to manage social media for three distinctive businesses while also promoting the vibrant Arts District community. Our neighborhood is home to two accredited art schools (Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts and Factory Underground), music venues, design centers, bars, restaurants, yoga studios, tattoo shops, chocolate shops, pottery classes, glass welding, antique stores — and even a beautiful River Walk Trail. We want you to help us share all of it with the world!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies for each business, tailored to their unique voice and audience.
- Create engaging, on-brand content: photos, videos, Reels, TikToks, Stories, and occasional long-form content.
- Schedule and post consistently; manage content calendars for each business.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community engagement.
- Collaborate with business owners to promote specials, events, and neighborhood happenings.
- Highlight the Arts District as a local destination, showcasing community events and creative collaborations.
- Monitor analytics and adjust strategies to grow each business’s following and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing social media for small businesses or personal brands.
- Strong understanding of current trends in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video.
- Photography and/or videography skills are a plus!
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Creative, organized, and able to balance multiple brand identities.
- Passion for local businesses, community-building, and supporting the arts.
Hours & Compensation:
- Flexible, approximately 15-20 hours/week to start.
- Compensation: $25-35/hour depending on experience.
- Potential to grow into a full-time role.
- Can start as freelance/contractor with potential for permanent hire.
