Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. What Will You Do?
To support the overall successful operations of Thompson IT services. This is a remote position.
- Accountable for troubleshooting and providing solution-oriented responses to requests and tickets
- Manage accounts, security profiles, and permissions for all users
- Utilize intermediate knowledge of SQL to create, modify, and automate database functions
- Build forms, modules, and views within the Electronic Health Record systems
- Create and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualization initiatives
- Responsible for providing updates, training, and guidance for software systems
- Act as a liaison between Thompson and software vendor(s)
- Make User Interface (UI) changes to enhance usability and efficiency
- Act as first responder to major outages and critical issues
- Conduct internal software documentation, data quality, and security audits
- Act as a primary administrator for all specified IT Software and Electronic Health Records systems
- Support infrequent large-scale data entry projects and data maintenance across EHR systems
- Create customized and user-friendly playbooks, process maps, and charts
- Support 3rd party software integrations
- Responsible for ensuring data consistency and security across software platforms and identifying problem areas
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, trainings, and reviewing appropriate publications
- Support overall agency IT functions during times of high need
- Complete all other IT related tasks assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or information technology and 2 years of experience in related role required.
- Requires strong computer and tech skills and basic understanding of electronic health records systems.
- Candidate must have the ability to problem-solve and utilize creative and logical thinking to navigate complex data systems and address issues.
- Candidate must possess knowledge of clinical terminology and HIPAA best practices or have previous experience in a mental health facility.
- Database management and SQL experience required. Experience in mental health or clinical environment desired
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program (s) you lead
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills.
