Job Description Summary
In this critical role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all our solar installations and identifying opportunities to optimize our operational efficiency. You'll be a key player in maintaining our reputation for excellence and helping us deliver top-tier solar solutions to our customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of residential solar installations at various stages (pre-installation, in-progress, and post-completion) to ensure adherence to company standards, industry best practices, and local electrical and building codes.
- Performance Verification: Test solar system performance, including voltage, current, and power output, to confirm optimal operation and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and document any quality control issues, defects, or deviations from design specifications. Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and engineers to implement corrective actions promptly.
- Process Improvement: Analyze installation processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Propose and assist in implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of inspections, test results, quality audits, and efficiency improvements. Generate comprehensive reports for management outlining findings, recommendations, and progress.
- Training & Support: Provide on-site guidance and training to installation crews on quality standards, best practices, and new procedures. Act as a resource for technical questions and problem-solving.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all quality and efficiency activities are conducted in accordance with company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring the delivered product meets or exceeds expectations and by addressing any quality-related concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in solar installation, electrical work, or a related field with a strong emphasis on quality control.
- In-depth knowledge of residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, components, and installation best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical and building codes (e.g., NEC, local building codes).
- Experience with testing equipment such as multimeters, سولار-specific testing tools, and string checkers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and provide clear feedback.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- NABCEP PV Installation Professional or PV Technical Sales certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work at heights, on roofs, and lift heavy equipment as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
