Las’ Lap is a high-energy Caribbean cocktail bar and restaurant with roots in NYC and an exciting new home in Miami. Known for our elevated rum program, exceptional service, and vibrant late-night atmosphere, we’re creating a destination that blends island culture with a refined dining experience, In partnership with James Beard awarded Chef Kwame Onwuachi.
We’re currently seeking a Sommelier who can lead with passion, precision, and personality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hospitality-driven environments and is ready to take ownership of the Wine Program from service to staffing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Wine program ensuring smooth service and a world-class guest experience.
- Oversee and train the FOH team, ensuring adherence to SOPs and Las’ Lap service philosophy.
- Collaborate with the executive and corporate teams to curate and maintain an innovative wine list which complements the food and exceed the expectations of guests.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure proper stock levels and profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and DOH compliance standards.
- Drive revenue through training, service excellence and upselling.
- Build a strong team culture through coaching, mentorship, and leading by example.
- The ability to function as a floor manager to include opening and closing responsibilities when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-4 years of sommelier experience in an upscale venue.
- Extensive knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, and winemaking processes.
- Certification from a recognized wine institute.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.
- Experience with inventory systems, local suppliers, ordering, scheduling and labor management.
- Full availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for elevated dining, music, and Caribbean culture.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
