The Opportunity:
The Spa at Yellow Creek is entering an exciting period of growth as we expand into a 12,000-square-foot wellness facility following 20 years of successful operation. With the addition of new state-of-the-art services—including Halotherapy, Cryotherapy, Ozone Steam, PEMF, Infrared Saunas, and Compression Therapy—we are seeking a Spa & Wellness Attendant to help deliver extraordinary guest experiences and maintain the highest standards of service and cleanliness.
This role is ideal for hospitality or wellness-focused college students from The University of Akron, Kent State University, Stark State, or other nearby institutions seeking hands-on experience in a luxury spa and wellness environment.
Position Overview:
The Spa Attendant plays a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a serene, seamless, and elevated experience. This is a non-receptionist position focused on hospitality support, guest engagement, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laundry: Wash, fold, and restock towels, robes, linens, and other spa essentials.
- Guest Orientation: Welcome guests and explain spa amenities, safety protocols, and usage guidelines for wellness services like cryotherapy and infrared saunas.
- Locker Room Support: Maintain locker room cleanliness and ensure ample stock of toiletries and fresh towels.
- Treatment Room Prep: Restock and prepare treatment rooms for use, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for providers.
- Beverage & Snack Service: Offer guests light refreshments to enhance their comfort during their visit.
- Cryotherapy & Infrared Sauna Support: Assist guests using specialty equipment with professionalism and clear instructions.
- General Cleanliness: Tidy spa common areas, sweep/mop floors, and uphold our serene, luxury environment.
Optional Additional Hours:
Additional morning shifts are available as an Opening Gym Attendant on select weekdays starting at 5:30 AM, assisting with facility readiness and light front desk support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in spa, hospitality, customer service, or wellness preferred
- Friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Willingness to support team members and proactively engage with guests
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout shift
- Must be available for weekends and holidays, as needed
- Polished, clean, and professional appearance at all times
