Assist the pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to our patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of Pharmacy Solutions, the state’s professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The Compounding Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, working in the clean room and compounding medication.
* Demonstrates ability to perform nonsterile & Sterile compounding per strict USP 795/797/800 guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt with change of workflow
- Properly use, calibrate and maintains equipment needed in making of compounds
- Operate, clean and sterilize aseptic compounding equipment and compounding areas
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the compounding areas
- Responsible for inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of all laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary/required for the preparations
- 1 year of experience as a certified Pharmacy Technician Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of sterile compounding lab or non-sterile compounding lab experience a plus
- Experience with Compounder/PK Software a plus
- Experience with compounding creams, capsules, and troches a plus
- Ability to cope with varied levels of workload and multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive to meet varied patient and company needs
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Able to read, write, and speak English properly, other languages a plus
- Ability to perform simple pharmaceutical calculations for individualized prescriptions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.49 - $30.00 per hour
