Ignite Sports Performance is a high-energy training facility focused on developing athletes of all levels — from youth to professional. We provide expert coaching, cutting-edge programs, and a positive environment that helps athletes dominate both on and off the field. Ignite Sports Performance is located at the Middletown Sports Complex and serves as the official training partner of the New Jersey Titans.
We’re looking for motivated interns to join our team and gain hands-on experience in sports performance coaching, facility operations, and fitness business management. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related fields.
Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Client Service
- Greet and check in athletes
- Assist with membership and scheduling questions
- Handle phone and email inquiries
Facility & Floor Support
- Help set up and break down training sessions
- Assist coaches during warm-ups and group sessions
- Observe and learn proper coaching cues and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized facility
Coaching Development
- Shadow Ignite coaches during strength and conditioning sessions
- Learn program structure, exercise selection, and progressions
- Assist with athlete prep work (mobility, activation drills)
- Gain exposure to speed, agility, and strength training systems
Marketing & Social Media
- Capture photos/videos for social platforms
- Assist in creating engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Support promotional events and marketing campaigns
Qualifications:
- Passion for sports performance, fitness, and athlete development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Basic social media skills (bonus: content creation experience)
- Willingness to work evenings and some weekends
- Previous coaching or playing experience is a plus, but not required
