Location: Remote – USA
As Revecore’s Staff Accountant, you will:
Be responsible for the coordination and support of the accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of the month-end financial close as well as appropriate control procedures, vendor & employee expense related payment processing, invoicing & collection issues, and ensure timely & accurate daily cash applications and collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, an innate intellectual curiosity, and a drive to find and resolve problems as they arise. This position will be working with all levels of the organization and will require someone with very high personal and professional values, good judgement, and a desire to learn and grow with the company.
The Role:
- Month-End Closing
- Conduct general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of accounts.
- Accounts Payable
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
- Timely and accurately process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements for corporate credit cards.
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and online platforms.
- Accounts Receivable
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, and uncollectible amounts are accounted for.
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone and email.
- Invoicing
- Ability to read contracts to setup new client invoice rates.
- Responsible for processing and managing invoices, including both manual and electronic invoices.
- Verify invoice accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure invoices align with contracts.
- Handle invoice questions from external clients and internal departments.
- Handle reporting requests from auditors
- Other duties as assigned
You’ll be successful if you have:
- Professional experience in accounting, such as internship or staff role
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Desire to continue professional growth through training
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
