California
Full time

This position will be located in Sacramento County.

Are you passionate about providing administrative support for a driven team to meaningfully engage with community partners and advance change? Interested in applying your skills and expertise to work with staff on several high-profile collaborative projects that will support California Air Resources Board (CARB) efforts and mission to improve air quality in the most burdened regions of the State? Do you want to be a part of a team that is committed to addressing environmental injustices? If your answer is yes, then we welcome you to join the Office of Environmental Justice, Tribal Affairs, and Border Relations (OEJTB) as a Staff Services Analyst (SSA).
OEJTB is part of the Environmental Justice and Equity Branch in CARB's Executive Office. OEJTB works at all levels within the organization and externally to meaningfully engage and address environmental injustices in the achievement of its mission. OEJTB serves as a catalyst and resource for CARB to meaningfully engage with community and address air quality concerns statewide. OEJTB ensures CARB promotes environmental justice and equity in the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures. OEJTB's priorities are informed by the Board, executive leadership, and meaningful engagement with community members and community-based organizations, particularly those disproportionately impacted by poor air quality. To achieve its goals, OEJTB partners with other federal, state, and local agencies as well as ensures collaboration across CARB so the most disadvantaged communities benefit equitably from CARB programs.
OEJTB is seeking a proactive, self-motivated, driven, engaging, creative, and enthusiastic SSA who will support all aspects of the office's work, from the planning and execution of public meetings, review of public-facing policy communication documents, scheduling and preparation of high-level internal meetings, and more. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment and can manage several projects simultaneously while providing high quality administrative support on time sensitive assignments.
The most successful candidate will have robust time management skills and a deep knowledge of business tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. The ideal candidate will also have a strong passion for promoting racial equity and environmental justice in state programs, demonstrate a collaborative approach, excel in creative problem-solving, and have exceptional communication skills.

If you're interested in a rewarding position in a dynamic and equity-focused team, please apply!

You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
