Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee our retail operations of our furniture store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to enhance store performance. The Store Manager will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, managing budgets, and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, and store maintenance.
- Conduct training and development programs for staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding stock levels and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms for products and supplies.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial goals are met while controlling costs.
- Implement promotional strategies to increase store visibility and drive traffic.
- Foster a positive team culture by encouraging collaboration, communication, and professional growth among employees.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or as an Assistant Manager with a strong understanding of store operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Strong background in retail sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and retail math principles.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required, as it can enhance customer interactions in diverse communities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Passion for retail with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
