Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily operations and drive the success of our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. This role involves managing staff, optimizing store performance, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and budgeting to ensure financial efficiency.
- Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
- Monitor sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Proficient in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Experience in payroll management, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams in a retail environment.
- Solid understanding of retail sales principles including pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and retail math.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members alike.
