We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Student Teacher to join our team. This role is designed for home school environment individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a home-school setting while contributing to the academic growth of students. The Student Teacher will assist in lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement, fostering an environment conducive to learning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Assist in delivering instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Support students in their academic pursuits by providing tutoring and individualized assistance as needed.
- Maintain organized records of student progress, including data entry for assessments and attendance.
- Facilitate laboratory activities and research projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student performance and classroom dynamics.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other educational activities to enhance teaching skills.
- Assist with software troubleshooting related to educational technology used in the classroom.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with higher education teaching methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in data entry and record keeping for student assessments.
- Ability to transcribe notes and maintain accurate documentation of classroom activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with students and staff.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn about laboratory procedures and research methodologies as they pertain to the curriculum.

- Day shift
