JOB SUMMARY
The Superintendent controls and oversees the day-to-day activities of the projects, ensuring improvement in our procedures and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the staff, materials, and company assets while ensuring that we as a company provide a quality product in a professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop the Production Plan which requires knowing all aspects of a project.
- Must have a complete understanding of the scope of work.
- Provides guidance and coaching to team members to build a positive work environment
- and effective communications for successful completion of projects assigned.
- Assist project manager in all aspects of the job until complete.
- Leads, coordinates and supervises department goals and ensures company leadership
- goals are met.
- Projects a positive image for the organization, employees, customers and industry.
- Ensure that all assigned employees follow established F.W. Walton HSE Requirements.
- Provide daily updates to Industrial Division Manager on job status.
- Ensure that all employees are informed and follow the safety policies of Walton and all
- other regulatory agencies.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Report all accidents and incidents immediately on the correct form and file
- appropriately, ensure medical treatment is obtained if necessary.
- Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with the company policy (you must be
- insured and legally able to drive).
- Promote quality and profitability throughout by providing necessary information to all
- team members.
- The Superintendent understands what qualifications are required for the employees to
- work on site for all jobs they manage.
- Conduct employee evaluations to ensure employees have the skills, qualifications,
- training and appropriate certification.
- Ensure all are kept in good working condition and stored properly.
- Attend safety meetings and hold weekly meetings with all assigned foremen.
- Perform job take-offs, provide BID’s and scopes to costumers.
- Ensure all assigned job paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Interface directly with Industrial customers on jobs and status.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
