About The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic: The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic is owned by Humane Solution Spay-Neuter Program, a nonprofit organization. The clinic is housed at the Forsyth County Animal Services in Winston-Salem, NC and is currently open on Sundays and Mondays, but we are open to discussion about days. The Clinic has a committed team of rotating veterinarians that believe in our mission to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering owned pets, Forsyth County Animal Services shelter pets, and feral/community cats. Humane Solution is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our passion is reducing unwanted litters, thus creating a healthier community for pets and people.

This is a part-time administrative role requiring at least 16 hours per month from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Humane Solution employs 2 veterinary assistants and volunteers to complete all other tasks. There is no interaction with pet owners.

Summary: The Supervising Veterinarian is the highest-ranking staff member on the medical team with complete oversight of all veterinary and animal care functions in the clinic. The Supervising Veterinarian is required to be at the facility 16 hours per month but is responsible for compliance with relevant regulations when the clinic is open.

Related Experience and Education Preferred:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree required. Must have a current North Carolina Veterinary license. DEA license eligibility is mandatory. Performing spay-neuter surgeries is optional, but extensive experience in spay/neuter surgeries is required. Experience in a management role within veterinary medicine is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Hourly compensation is negotiable.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall care of the animals that are presented at The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic. Implements protocols for the clinic and ensures that the highest quality of care is being reached.
