Position Summary:
As the Supervisor of Food and Nutrition, you will oversee daily food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency in meal delivery for patients and staff. You will supervise team members, support compliance with health and safety standards, and contribute to creating a positive, patient-centered dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage workflow within the food and nutrition department
- Supervise and support team members to ensure timely and accurate food service
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality
- Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and satisfaction
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Associate’s Degree required
- Substitution: Four (4) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associate’s Degree (in addition to the required experience)
- Must demonstrate technical competence in food service, food handling, or nutrition
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid Food Manager Certification from a Florida Department of Health-approved provider OR
- ServSafe Certification from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, accredited by ANSI–Conference for Food Protection (CFP)
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or group lead experience in Food and Nutrition
