Tree Brand Packaging, Inc is a family-owned company that has a 30+ year history manufacturing custom wood pallets, crates and packaging. This nearly $100 million sales firm serving blue chip firms such as First Solar, and BMW and with 6 plants across the southeast has experienced rapid growth and is therefore seeking a highly qualified Supply Chain professional to join our team.
Reporting to the CFO and dotted line to Head of Operations, this position will be a key Member of SIOPS (Sales-Inventory Management-Operations) responsible for purchasing across 6 manufacturing sites (overseeing site purchasing personnel), inventory management and lead times, driving savings, improving min/max metrics, defining lead times, and overall supply chain management.
This is a full-time role, on site, with Location options available at either of our two largest sites based in Charlotte /Newton NC or east Alabama (near GA I-20W corridor) with a bias toward the NC location (corporate office location).
Candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years in supply chain or operations with experience from larger / process driven manufacturing firms
Specific responsibilities will include:
o Purchasing – oversee and coordinate purchasing of materials for all TBP sites, establishing appropriate inventory metrics for all including:
Ø Min / Max quantities for each site
Ø Necessary lead times and kanban systems to support purchasing process
Ø Establish appropriate metrics
o Souring for optimal savings and cost benefits to incorporate in forecasting, planning incorporating TBP’s sales forecast (demand plan + Operations planning).
o Partner with Plant Managers and Finance for inventory accuracy and reliability. Enhancing process controls.
o Partner with Plant Managers and Finance to assess and target optimal inventories to have by part for each part number with appropriate days on hand metrics.
o Establish Purchase Order controls and approval levels.
o Coordinate transfers between sites – process controls and reporting.
o Establish Inventory On-Hand locator system (shop floor) for some TBP sites to enhance TBP inventory management and sales order fulfillment.
o Assess and enhance the company’s Vendor Scorecard process.
o Contribute to the overall company metrics for customer satisfaction scores (CSAT) and RMA (returns) process.
Oversee the firm’s logistics function
