Job Description
This is a management role as Project Management – Operations reporting to the VP of Operations at EW. Primary responsibilities include, provide strategic project governance, transparency, best practices, support and traceability. Facilitate strategic projects and key initiatives within all the Operations stream as well as with cross functional areas at Smiths Detection. It includes:
- Support proposal reviews, evaluations and business case.
- Recommend selection, initiation or termination of projects.
- Manage projects and initiatives end to end to mitigate risks.
- Manage resource requirements including negotiation and coordination of enterprise-wide resources as a PMO.
Responsibilities
Essential functions
- Supports the implementation and management of all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the facilities. Work with site contacts to establish
- Great knowledge in Logistics Processes end to end
- Provide strategic project governance, transparency, best practices, support and traceability
- Strategic project execution, reporting, visibility and risk management
- Manage Assigned Projects with direct ownership and control
- Lead enterprise-wide change management related to Supply Chain strategic projects
- Manage and organize the strategic project funnel through periodic workshops and events
- Provide tactical project support, consultation and collaboration
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Manage and organize the strategic project funnel through periodic workshops and events focused on collaboration around strategic objectives and concept generation.
- Standardize strategic project selection and prioritization criteria to synchronize project resource requirements with organizational resource availability.
- Lead enterprise-wide change management related to Operations strategic projects through effective collaboration, planning, coordination and communication.
- Facilitate annual strategic planning sessions with senior leadership with the objective of providing a forum for collaborative review and affirmation of strategic vision and objectives.
- Provide project management guidance for Operations applying the appropriate level of control and influence based on specific project criteria.
- Tactical Projects: Support, Consultation and Collaboration.
- Strategic Projects: Governance, Support, Transparency & Reporting.
- Assigned Projects: Direct ownership and control of management, execution and reporting.
- Provide project management guidance to project leaders for developing project proposals, structures, phases, timelines, performance measures and accountability.
- Develop project management and execution traceability for reporting status and actual vs planned results.
- Four year college/university degree in an engineering or business field required plus 5 – 9 years of experience; at least 5 years of minimum experience required.
- Proven experience in leading and influencing cross functional teams in problem solving, process improvements, and solution implementation.
- Must have depth experience in leadership and operations environment end to end.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional Certification (CSCP) is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and influencing cross functional teams in problem solving, process improvements, and solution implementation.
- Must have depth experience in leadership and operations environment end to end.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional Certification (CSCP) is a plus.
Years of Experience:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 5 years of experience.
Education Level:
- Four-year college/university degree in an engineering or business field required plus 5 – 9 years of experience; at least 5 years of minimum experience required.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills required.
- Strong computer and systems knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Excell and Power BI is a plus.
- Willingness to work on a fast-paced dynamic team in a hands-on environment while managing multiple assignments with strict deadlines.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,000 - $165,400/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
