Support Preschool Instructor at Community Centers
$19.50 - $20.50 per. hour DOE

The City of Monterey Recreation Division is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Support Preschool Instructor to work with children ages 3 to 5 years in a team environment. This position provides supervision of appropriate activities and events during program hours in conjunction with the Lead Preschool Instructor and is responsible for leading the Preschool Program in the absence of the Lead Preschool Instructor. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: assists in planning classroom curriculum, assists in daily preparation of physical environment, art, clerical work and materials for activities, instructs children in arts and crafts, music, science, reading and outdoor play. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Experience and ECE units desirable. Positions are part-time, 16-20 hours per week maximum, Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am-1:00pm.
