Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires proficiency in various dental practices, including oral surgery, as well as familiarity with dental terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
- Document medical information accurately, including patient history and treatment plans in the electronic health record system
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
Skills
- Proficiency in oral surgery dentistry practices.
- Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Understanding of dental terminology specific to surgical assistance.
- Experience in assisting during endodontic procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
