Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Nurse (RN)(LPN) / Medical Assistant (MA) with experience in clinic-based surgical procedures to join our dermatology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with dermatologic medical and cosmetic surgeries and a passion for patient care in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Dermatologic Surgeries:
Support surgeons during procedures such as MOHS surgery, excisions, and cosmetic surgical interventions including liposuction, ensuring a sterile environment and patient safety.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
Prepare patients for surgery, liposuction, including taking medical histories, sterilizing surgical sites, and providing post-operative care instructions for wound care and recovery.
- Surgical Instrument Management:
Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments, ensuring all equipment is prepared and functioning for procedures.
- Support Cosmetic Procedures:
Assist with cosmetic treatments such as liposuction, cosmetic surgery, laser therapies, injectables (e.g., Botox, fillers), and other aesthetic procedures as needed.
- Patient Education:
Educate patients on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and long-term skin care maintenance to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain Clinical Documentation:
Accurately document surgical procedures, patient interactions, and follow-up care while adhering to clinic protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with the Team:
Work closely with dermatologists and other staff to ensure a seamless patient experience, contributing to a professional and attentive approach.
- Stay Current:
Keep up to date with advancements in dermatologic surgery and aesthetic techniques through continuing education and training.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse (RN/LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) in Wisconsin.
- Experience assisting with dermatologic or clinic-based surgical procedures preferred.
- Hands-on experience with surgical techniques (or a strong interest and willingness to be trained).
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner, with a focus on compassionate care.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing surgical workflows.
- Flexible, proactive, and eager to grow professionally in the dermatologic and aesthetic field.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
