Overview
The Surveillance Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. This position involves monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and law enforcement when necessary. To conduct continuous surveillance of all areas of the casino via floor surveillance and use of the CCTV system as directed by Surveillance Shift Managers or the Director in compliance with NRGC, departmental and company regulations.
Duties
- Monitor live CCTV feeds and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Dispatch security personnel as needed in response to incidents or alarms.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents observed during surveillance operations.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Engage in conflict management and resolution during incidents on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections of surveillance equipment to ensure functionality.
- Collaborate with loss prevention teams to implement strategies for minimizing theft and loss.
- Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
- Supports other Managers/Directors, and Executives with assistance and information relating to the protection of assets in their respective departments, as well as fellow Operators in the performance of their duties..
- To continuously monitor CCTV, closely scrutinizing all activities within camera range to ensure the protection of company assets.
- Accurately and quickly perform duties as assigned.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Must maintain skills through review and self-study.
- Complete any other task that may be assigned by Surveillance Shift Managers or the Director to the best of their ability.
Experience
- Previous experience in a surveillance or security role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dispatching protocols and CCTV systems is highly desirable.
- Strong report writing skills are essential for documenting incidents accurately.
- Experience in law enforcement or conflict management can be beneficial.
- A relevant certification in surveillance or security operations is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse teams and external agencies.
