NorthLine Surveying, Inc. is seeking a Party Chief Surveyor to join our organization. This position offers a Monday through Friday work schedule or as needed to support project, client, and business commitments. This is a Field Surveyor position working on projects in Thurston County, Pierce County, Kitsap County, Mason County, Lewis County, Grays Harbor County and their surrounding areas.
This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide variety of land and construction surveying projects with private, local/state, federal, and general contractor clients throughout the Pacific Northwest region. Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years field surveying experience.
- Knowledgeable in boundary/land surveying and construction surveying procedures and techniques.
- Experience in heavy civil and structural construction project sites and staking techniques.
- Ability to interpret detailed plan sets and drawings.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High performance attitude with personal accountability for integrity.
- Knowledgeable in the use and care of survey equipment.
- Strong understanding of data collection software technology and applications. Knowledgeable in use of Leica Captivate.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft applications.
Duties:
- Perform traverse and control network verification/establishment, boundary surveys, topographic mapping, differential level loops, monitoring, and construction staking.
- Maintain legible and professional field notes and data records.
- Coordination with office for exchange of data and daily reporting.
- Interpret plan information, verify calculations, perform task specific calculations to support site specific conditions.
- Prepare cut sheets and actively participate in Quality Control standards.
- Maintain, check, and adjust tools and equipment for precision and accuracy.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
