Job Overview:
This role is for a Survey Project Manager in Mount Holly, NJ, paying around $100K/year. The person in this role will lead land surveying projects, managing both people and processes, ensuring work is accurate, on time, and within budget.
What You’ll Do:
Plan and run surveying projects from start to finish.
Supervise field crews and CAD technicians to make sure work is accurate and meets industry standards.
Prepare project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and track progress.
Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
Review and approve survey documents, maps, plats, and reports.
Make sure all work follows legal and regulatory rules.
Use surveying software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, etc.) and GPS equipment.
Solve technical problems and guide your team.
Keep records of contracts, field notes, and billing.
What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or similar (preferred).
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
5+ years of surveying experience, with 2+ years managing projects.
Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, total stations, and other surveying tools.
Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
Bonus Skills (Preferred):
GIS, drone mapping, or LiDAR experience.
Knowledge of local zoning and permits.
Experience with DOT or large infrastructure projects.
