Target Range:
$200,000.00/Yr. - $260,000.00/Yr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 25%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 25%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This Job
The SVP, Commercial Underwriting Manager oversees all aspects of commercial lending (lender and corporate loans, ABL, and Equipment finance); leads lending related pricing, servicing, and compliance functions.
Responsibilities:
- Performs complex financial or collateral analyses including modeling or projections analyses
- Manages underwriters and analysts through the underwriting process (CAM, Diligence); prepares and review CAMs and PICs before submission; keeps track of all other items and tasks necessary to close a loan
- Prepares term sheets and review loan documents through underwriting process; coordinates boarding process with additional bank units
- Trains and develops analysts to constantly improve
- Liaises between other departments to gain buy-in for business plans, growth strategies, transaction opportunities, and mission critical operational initiatives; assists in hiring
- Assists in writing credit policy, guidelines and key process development
- Represents the Bank at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings as appropriate. Travel as frequently as needed or as directed in order to execute on assigned duties
- Recommends loans for approval to credit committee
- Stays current on industry and market trends
- Leads group adherence to management framework and compliance with all audit/review needs, including: OCC, BDO, Internal Audit, ICR, and SOX review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years' experience in underwriting and structuring asset based, and commercial real estate transactions
- Success in achieving credit strategic goals and leading a credit underwriting team
- Credit evaluation experience with complex credits and structuring
- Experience with credit policy and underwriting guideline implementation
- Knowledgeable of federal banking regulations and market trends
