Swim Counselors play a pivotal role in our recreation portion of the day – our American Red Cross Instructional Swim Program is a highlight of the summer for both campers and parents. While under the supervision of the Aquatic Director, Swim Counselors provide hands-on swimming instruction for campers of various ages and abilities.
You must be able to:
- Assess each camper at the beginning of each session to determine swimming ability.
- Teach swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety to campers with different swimming abilities.
- Plan swimming lessons that are fun and educational with the help of the Aquatic Director and/or other swim instructors.
- Identify incorrect swimming techniques and make corrections as needed.
- Monitor campers to prevent accidents and injuries in pool and on pool deck.
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain and ensure proper storage of all camp equipment.
- Will be required to accept other duties as assigned.
Interested candidates must be able to swim at least 4 lengths of pool using any known strokes, be able to communicate with peers and campers, be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching others to swim.

Pay: From $225.00 per week
