Blue Dolphin Swim Team is looking for a part-time Swim Coach to help lead our program. As a coach , you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Swim Coach Job Summary
The preferred candidate is friendly, proactive, well organized, communicates effectively, and is willing to learn and collaborate within a team environment that includes both Swimming and Artistic Swimming. You will have experience teaching swimming as well as coaching and be comfortable leading groups of young swimmers on their own. Ideally, the candidate will be someone that comes with a strong technical background and is able to demonstrate initiative and contribute ideas in a community that is full of potential. The candidate must approach the program with a ‘swimmer first’ mentality and endeavor to make the in-person coaching sessions engaging, motivating and fun for the participants.
Work Schedule:
· Monday to Friday 8 pm-9pm in Redmond
· Sunday 6:30 pm- 8:00pm in Mercer Island
Qualifications:
· Experience: 3 or more years of swim team coaching.
· Certifications: Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification and Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification
· Background Check: Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
· Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for effectively teaching and motivating young athletes.
· Patience: A high level of patience and the ability to work with children of varying skill levels.
· Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with the head coach, other lead coaches, assistants, and support staff, and adhere to the team objectives for your group.
· Adaptability: Flexibility in adjusting coaching techniques to meet the needs of different swimmers.
· Time Management: Ability to manage practice sessions efficiently to cover planned drills and activities.
· Safety Awareness: Keen understanding of and ability to enforce pool safety protocols.
· Flexibility: Adaptability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
