Position Overview
As a Tier 1 Support & Field Technician, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical support, providing both remote assistance and on-site support at client locations across a wide range of industries.
You will handle a variety of support tickets, including workstation, networking, email, printers, and software issues. When problems cannot be resolved remotely, you will travel to client sites to deliver hands-on troubleshooting and support. A company vehicle or mileage reimbursement will be provided for field visits.
You’ll actively monitor alerts, respond to tickets in priority order, maintain clear documentation in our PSA system, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. This is an entry-level role with clear advancement opportunities into more technical or specialized positions as you grow with Compsys.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming support phone calls and respond to support tickets using ConnectWise Manage PSA.
- Provide remote assistance using remote support tools.
- Troubleshoot basic workstation, printer, networking, and software issues.
- Assist with password resets, MFA, email setup, printer/drive mapping, and more.
- Provide on-site technical support at client locations as needed, including hardware installation, network setup, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver excellent customer service during on-site visits.
- Transport and install necessary equipment at client sites.
- Escalate complex issues to Support Technician II or Support Analysts with detailed documentation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough ticket documentation.
- Contribute to internal documentation and participate in team training.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
