Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Tactical Satellite C2 Specialist to support a leading government program in El Segundo, CA. The Tactical Satellite C2 Specialist will contribute to the development and fielding of next-generation satellite command and control systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF). This position is on-site in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities of the Tactical Satellite C2 Specialist include:
- Translate mission functions (Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination) into Tactical Satellite C2 system requirements.
- Support the development of cloud-based solutions for USSF protect and defend missions.
- Conduct functional and timeline analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation.
- Develop technical documentation including CONOPS, SOWs, TRDs, and ICDs.
- Provide engineering support to Government Program Managers to assess progress and recommend improvements.
- Ensure Tactical Satellite C2 systems meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
- Deliver technical briefings and documentation to government and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Tactical Satellite C2 Specialist include:

9+ years of experience with:
- Tactical Command and Control systems (e.g., mission tasking, telemetry processing, data dissemination).
- Cloud-based architecture and virtualization technologies.
- Agile software development practices.
- DoD RMF compliance.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI and enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
- Willingness to be nominated for SAP access and undergo a Polygraph examination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in National Security Space or Space Control mission areas.
- Experience in U.S. Government weapons system program offices.
- Professional certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, Agile PM/PO, ITEA CTEP).
- Familiarity with USSF Space Warfighting Operations (SDA, Offensive/Defensive Actions).
Compensation for the Tactical Satellite C2 Specialist includes:
- Salary: $160,000 – $185,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
