Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist plays a critical role in driving the company’s talent strategy and supporting a positive, high-performance culture. This position is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting, conducting compensation analysis, leading employee engagement efforts, and supporting performance management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist skills, deep recruiting experience, and a background in the oil and gas industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compensation:
- Conduct market and internal compensation analyses to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions.
- Maintain compensation structures; participate in and analyze salary survey data.
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, networking, and industry-specific platforms.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to write accurate job descriptions and define recruiting strategies.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and early engagement touchpoints.
Performance Management:
- Lead administration of the performance review cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and processes.
- Coach managers and employees on setting goals, delivering feedback, and improving performance.
- Support the implementation of training and development plans aligned with performance goals.
HR Reporting & Compliance:
- Track and report on key HR metrics including turnover, time-to-fill, and engagement trends.
- Ensure HR programs and policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including full cycle recruiting and compensation work.
- Oil and gas industry experience is required
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday).
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
- Solid understanding of compensation practices and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- College recruiting experience preferred
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional travel for recruitment events or training.
- Standard business hours, with extended hours during peak HR periods (e.g., performance reviews, open enrollment).
