Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist plays a critical role in driving the company’s talent strategy and supporting a positive, high-performance culture. This position is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting, conducting compensation analysis, leading employee engagement efforts, and supporting performance management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist skills, deep recruiting experience, and a background in the oil and gas industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Compensation:

  • Conduct market and internal compensation analyses to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions.
  • Maintain compensation structures; participate in and analyze salary survey data.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, networking, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write accurate job descriptions and define recruiting strategies.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and early engagement touchpoints.

Performance Management:

  • Lead administration of the performance review cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and processes.
  • Coach managers and employees on setting goals, delivering feedback, and improving performance.
  • Support the implementation of training and development plans aligned with performance goals.

HR Reporting & Compliance:

  • Track and report on key HR metrics including turnover, time-to-fill, and engagement trends.
  • Ensure HR programs and policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including full cycle recruiting and compensation work.
  • Oil and gas industry experience is required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday).
  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
  • Solid understanding of compensation practices and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • College recruiting experience preferred

Work Environment

  • Office-based with occasional travel for recruitment events or training.
  • Standard business hours, with extended hours during peak HR periods (e.g., performance reviews, open enrollment).
