About the Role
Evol Empire Financial is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. You’ll help individuals and businesses file their taxes correctly, stay compliant with IRS rules, and get the best results possible.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare & file federal and state tax returns
- Review income, expenses, and financial records
- Advise clients on tax strategies & planning
- Stay up to date with IRS rules & tax law changes
- Use software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) for accuracy
- Spot deductions & credits clients may qualify for
- Keep organized records of client files
- Help with bookkeeping when needed
- Work with the team to improve client service
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in tax prep or accounting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting & tax principles
- Comfortable with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar software
- Great math and analytical skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines and stay organized
- 10-key typing proficiency a plus
- Sales or customer service experience is a bonus
