Position Summary
Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in Seattle, Washington.
Work You’ll Do
Provide an integrated approach to refine and further automate Deloitte Tax’s software development lifecycle. Assist with SQL server development, architecture, and performance tuning, including development and tuning of all database objects, while monitoring and maintaining system health and performance. Review SQL stored procedures and queries for performance and provide regular feedback, along with troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Work closely with development teams throughout the process of writing and deploying database code. Provide guidance on complex queries and the optimization of processes and statements.
Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and eighteen (18) months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience performing SQL Server database engineering and development.
Experience must include eighteen (18) months of:
1. Creating infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Powershell and Python;
- Migrating on-premise data platforms to Azure;
- Evaluating new technologies and maintaining, improving, and optimizing software offerings and development processes to ensure consistency and maintainability of existing applications;
- Improving and monitoring Azure data infrastructure, including backups, patches, and scaling;
- Designing, planning, scheduling and coordinating IT disaster recovery tests and exercises for PaaS and SaaS services;
- Developing and deploying SQL server stored procedures, functions, triggers, NoSQL, and graph database systems for application needs;
- Developing automation scripts using Powershell for regular SQL server and MongoDB workflows; and
- Writing complex SQL queries for reporting and data engineering services.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
Annual Salary: $110,635.00 – $184,210.00
