Position Summary
As a Teacher Assistant, you will support the Lead Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will help create a positive classroom environment, assist with daily routines and classroom management, and build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing daily learning activities under the guidance of the Lead Teacher
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Support positive behavior guidance and classroom routines
- Engage with children individually and in small groups to support learning and development
- Assist with assessments and documentation of children's progress
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families and team members
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or have at least 15 credit hours in a related field
- Ability to pass all background checks, health screenings, and drug screenings
- Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Current CDA Credential or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.33 - $15.00 per hour
