We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our school.
Lincoln Children’s Academy is a child development center in Lincoln, Nebraska. We serve children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age. Our 12,000 sq. ft. facility is located on 9300 Heritage Lakes Dr. Lincoln, NE 68526 right across from the Heart Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching materials.
- Meet individual physical, emotional, and educational needs of children.
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
- Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track
- Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children.
- Collaborate with other colleagues.
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by LCA and the our state license.
- Participate in state related training courses.
Skills:
- Must be 18 years of age to meet licensing requirements.
- Proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher.
- Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods.
- Methodical and creative.
- Patience, flexibility and love for children.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Certificate in first aid and CPR.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and organized and maintain a safe classroom.
- Degree in early childhood education preferred but not required.
