WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:
Duties to include, (but not limited to):
- Assisting co-workers in the day to day operation of the paint lines.
- Serves as a resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice
- Ensures employees follow proper procedures, processes and comply with company protocols and policies
- Encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between employees
- Executes and trains team on proper use of safety equipment and procedures that may become necessary at any point during the production process & responsible for reporting all incidents that compromise safety or security
- Ensure employees achieve/perform to daily targets and product outputs
- Participates as an active member of the production team and fills in and helps as needed.
- Follow and enforce all cleaning procedures on paint lines
- Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities
- Safeguards Company property while maintaining acceptable level of productivity
- Moves materials manually or engages automatic feeding mechanisms to piece specifications
- Reads and studies work orders to assess machine specifications and determine tooling instructions, materials needed and sequence of operations in relation to raw materials/product
- Continues to improve knowledge of raw material and product quality while developing increased familiarity of overall machine performance and tool maintenance
- Working knowledge of Shop-Trak and inventory tracking system
- Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or company mission
- Assist in supervisor duties, in absence of production supervisor
Production Team Leader Demonstrates:
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong organization skills
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma.
- 1 year related production experience
Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds at those times when assistance is needed on production floor.
- Work schedule is 12 hour shifts
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Conclusion: The Production Team Leader will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with WSC. As an ESOP owner, acting with honor, integrity, and positivity is imperative. The Production Team Leader’s prime objective is aid in troubleshooting machine issues that occur within his/her shift.
