Overview
Supports and guides nursing staff in daily operations. Assumes responsibility for the unit in absence of unit Manager.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
- Monitors and maintains unit for regulatory compliance at all times, including such items as staffing levels, chart audits, environment of care, etc.
- Assume patient care duties as needed.
- Assists the manager by monitoring Kronos, adjusting schedules, editing timecards and assuming other duties of the Manager as needed.
- Ensures patient satisfaction by rounding on patients and monitoring patient satisfaction scores.
- Provides clinical oversight to assigned patient population to include staff's competency and assignments and scheduling training and development events.

- Thorough knowledge of clinical assessment and medical equipment.

Education
Associates in Nursing is Required
Bachelors in Nursing is Preferred
Experience
Two years L&D experience in nursing required
one year experience as a charge nurse is required
Certification and Licensures
Licensed Registered Nurse License Required
