Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Take and process customer orders accurately using the cash register.
- Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established guidelines, maintaining high standards of food handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including bussing tables and cleaning workstations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills are essential for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Familiarity with food handling practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy café setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
