Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external scenic, fabrication, AV, and construction vendors.
- Translate physical layout and scenic design requirements into executable integration plans that account for power, data, cooling, access, mounting, and physical safety.
Work closely with the Technical Experience Director (TED), Hardware Integration Specialist, and Experience Director to ensure all technology and gameplay systems are physically buildable and maintainable. - Coordinate with fabricators to ensure that scenic and structural components accommodate hardware (monitors, sensors, control panels, air effects, speakers, lights, etc.) and align with guest interaction timing and narrative moments.
- Manage and evolve integration documentation, including system layout diagrams, install guides, cable run plans, power distribution maps, and physical interface specs.
- Participate in vendor reviews, mockups, and scenic walkthroughs, ensuring interactive elements are fully represented in physical production.
- Monitor pre-installation fabrication milestones and proactively identify physical-digital alignment issues.
- Support the TED and EP in install planning, sequencing, and on-site coordination during system activation and testing.
- Ensure that final installs meet performance, safety, and usability standards and that all interactive components are physically testable and serviceable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in technical production, show systems integration, or interactive exhibit delivery.
- Solid working knowledge of AV, lighting, control, and digital systems are physically deployed in real-world spaces Experience managing external technical vendors—such as AV integrators, fabricators, and show control engineers—across all phases of a project lifecycle.
- Proficient in operating in field environments, including staged installs, construction sites, and live commissioning.
- Familiarity with power, networking, thermal management, and basic electronics as they relate to interactive installation.
- Strong coordination skills and fluency in reading and interpreting CAD plans, shop drawings, and integration diagrams.
- Experience working directly with fabrication shops, scenic vendors, and construction teams.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proven ability to track physical and technical milestones across multiple vendors and workstreams.
- Experience working in themed entertainment, simulation environments, or LBE.
- Experience with commissioning documentation, safety validation, and long-term maintenance planning.
- Working knowledge of CAD or 3D layout software fluency (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, Revit, etc.).
- Experience managing physical testing and prototype cycles leading up to fabrication.
- Flexibility to travel for live staging and working on-site for integration testing, commissioning, and post-launch support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
o Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
o Required Residence: This candidate must live or reside in the state of Kansas; or relocate within six (6) months of offered employment.
o Required Travel: This candidate is required to travel up to 15% for specific project installations.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), medical leave, and a variety of other perks. A bonus and incentive plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, dependent on the level and position offered.
