Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure and cabling, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Duties
- Install and maintain fiber optic cabling in various environments, including commercial and residential settings.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks using tools such as voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Collaborate with field service teams to ensure seamless telecommunication services are delivered to clients.
- Climb ladders and work at heights to install or repair cabling infrastructure as needed.
- Build and maintain network infrastructure, including Local Area Networks (LAN) and telephone systems.
- Operate heavy equipment safely while performing installations or repairs in the field.
- Document all work performed accurately and maintain records for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cabling and network infrastructure installation is preferred.
- Familiarity with voltmeter usage and other testing tools for fiber optic systems.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated environments safely.
- Experience in telecommunication services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to fiber optics and telecommunications.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,700.00 per week
