Job Summary
JIT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Equipment Sales Representative for Erie and Niagara County to maintain existing customer accounts and develop new business within a designated territory. This position plays a critical role in supporting the company’s sales goals, representing the brand, and delivering high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate has a solid background in business development and sales within commercial, industrial, or construction-related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Support and interpret sales objectives set by the Sales Manager to guide day-to-day activities.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive brand awareness and product demand.
- Develop and execute territory-specific sales plans aligned with company targets.
- Represent JIT in meetings, presentations, and project planning with customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and gross margin targets for the assigned territory.
- Conduct market research and provide competitive analysis and sales insights.
- Utilize CRM (MS CRM), Slack, Outlook, and other tools to manage accounts and communications.
- Maintain high levels of customer communication and satisfaction through regular follow-up and support.
- Generate leads and close sales that meet margin and revenue targets.
- Notify customers of promotions, new products, and services.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to meet customer expectations for delivery, service, and quality.
- Assist in accounts receivable collection when requested.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback.
- Attend and contribute to regular sales meetings and reporting activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven sales and customer support experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to meet or exceed budgeted sales and margin goals.
- Demonstrated success in penetrating new markets and closing deals.
- High level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Skilled in team coordination and project follow-through.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, MS CRM, and Slack.
Experience & Education
- Minimum 3 years of successful business development and sales experience.
- Background in commercial, industrial, or construction-related industries preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional visits to customer sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally climb stairs or mechanical structures on job sites.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles may occur during site visits.
- Noise level is generally low in office settings.
Compensation Package Includes
- Base Pay Range of $60,000-$66,000 based on Experience
