Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and service-oriented Team Lead to support daily store operations and act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the performance and productivity of all employees and volunteers on-shift. The Team Lead ensures smooth operations, excellent customer service, and alignment with our mission in all areas. The ideal candidate will lead by example, foster a positive team environment, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Manager on Duty, providing leadership and direction to staff during assigned shifts.
- Supervise and support Cashier/Sales Associates to ensure accurate transactions, excellent customer service, and a well-maintained sales floor.
- Oversee Stockroom Associates in receiving, sorting, tagging, and pricing donations, and ensure timely restocking of merchandise.
- Provide oversight and coordination for the Donation Pickup Driver and Donation Pickup Laborer, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional donation pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with opening and/or closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reporting.
- Ensure merchandise is restocked and displays are neat, organized, and visually appealing.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and care.
- Promote a positive, mission-driven work culture aligned with Cornerstone Support Services’ values.
- Communicate effectively with the Store’s Manager and Assistant Manager regarding staff performance, inventory needs, and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or team leadership required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
