Job description:
We are seeking a motivated Tier 1 Network Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will
provide first-level support for network-related issues, assist with routine maintenance, and gain
hands-on experience with network automation tools. You will also work alongside system
administrators to support Windows Server environments and Active Directory tasks. This is an

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to network tickets and alerts
- Perform basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls
- Provide support for user access, network connectivity, and remote access issues
- Assist in managing and maintaining Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Document network diagrams, procedures, and technical issues
- Collaborate on small automation projects using Python or Visual Basic
- Support the implementation of scripts to automate routine tasks
- Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 1-2 years of experience in network support or help desk roles
- Working knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs
- Windows Server administration (basic level)
- Active Directory (user account management, group policies)
- Familiarity with scripting in Python or Visual Basic
- Eagerness to learn network automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds)
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or MTA: Windows Server
