We are looking for an EXPERIENCED tire/lube technician to work in our busy shop. Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, no weekends. Paid vacation, holidays and medical/dental insurance. As a tire/lube technician, you will be required to inspect and assess damaged or worn tires on customer vehicles, replace or repair damaged tires, balance or rotate tires as needed and perform oil changes and minor maintenance services on customers’ vehicles such as wipers, batteries and state inspections. To ensure success as a tire/lube technician, you should have good communication skills and be able to perform physically demanding tasks. Ultimately, an outstanding tire/lube technician can work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining high industry standards. Responsibilities include: occasionally talking to customers about any issues they are experiencing with their tires, recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires, performing oil changes and maintenance on customer’s vehicles, conducting inventory and maintaining equipment.
Tire/lube technician requirements: High school diploma or GED. Good communication skills. Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to lift heavy objects. Proven work experience as a tire/lube technician is necessary and pay will be commensurate with experience level. Typically $13-15 per hour base plus commission. All applicants without recent, relevant tire/lube experience will be rejected immediately.
