Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, fabrication, and assembly of precision tools and dies used in various manufacturing processes. This role requires expertise in working with CAM programming, CNC machines, and precision measuring instruments to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Duties
· Design and fabricate tooling components for production processes using milling machines and stamping presses.
· Utilize CAM programming to create precise machining programs for CNC equipment.
· Assemble and test tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications and performance requirements.
· Employ precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
· Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to produce accurate tooling solutions.
· Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling performance and production efficiency.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in CAM programming, CNC operation, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
· Strong understanding of tooling design principles, fabrication techniques, and GD&T standards.
· Familiarity with milling machines, stamping presses, and other relevant machinery.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
