Job Summary: Responsible for performing accurate diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs of lease & rental trailers in accordance with established company processes and procedures while practicing the company values. This is a dedicated, on-site position working out of a service truck focused on supporting the reliability and readiness of the lease and rental fleet.

Essential Duties:
- Meets daily with the Lease/Rental Operations Supervisor and other operations personnel to discuss scheduling and demands for equipment
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and constant focus on daily efficiency and production
- Perform repairs and inspections on all lease/rental semi-trailer makes and models
- Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on trailers, along with DOT inspections
- Repair/Replace trailer components
- Open and close repair orders on company issued laptop
- Manage parts inventory on the service truck
- Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within standard repair times
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expectations include the ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in the following:
- Electrical Systems
- Structural Repairs
- Chassis Repairs
- Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems
- Lift Gate Systems
- Basic Reefer Repairs
- Federal DOT Inspections
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance
- Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes
- Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills
Education and Experience:
- Education - High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of experience working on semi-trailers
Physical Environments:
- Noise levels are moderate to high at times; Physical exertion is moderate to heavy; Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds; Employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a trailer.
