What You'll Do
Team & People Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of transportation engineers, setting goals, developing talent, and building a positive, accountable culture.
- Create personalized development plans to help team members grow and stay engaged.
- Conduct regular check-ins and build a strong internal support network.
Project Oversight
- Oversee all transportation engineering projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring excellence in execution.
- Review scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure accuracy, profitability, and alignment with client goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders—owners, contractors, subconsultants, and internal teams—to maintain clear communication and expectations.
- Manage QA/QC processes and certify deliverables.
Business Growth & Strategy
- Partner with marketing and senior leadership to pursue new opportunities and maintain client relationships.
- Provide technical insights for proposals and presentations.
- Use your market knowledge and relationships to help shape a strong pipeline of future work.
Technical Design
- Stay current with INDOT design standards and industry best practices.
- Apply your expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other tools to support and guide design decisions.
What You Bring
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (Required)
- Registered P.E. in Indiana or ability to obtain quickly (Required)
- 15+ years of experience in transportation design, with previous leadership or department management experience
- Civil 3D or MicroStation (preferred)
- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
