Summary

Responsibilities

The Transport Patient Engagement Specialist transports incoming patients to the treatment facility. This individual is the first staff point of contact for all patients who require transportation to a facility. The individual ensures safe, secure, and comfortable travel for all new admits.

  • Maintain demonstration of values and mission statement.
  • Establishes communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and patient satisfaction.
  • Transports patients to the facility to designated areas in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Follows routing and scheduling instructions given by the Dispatch Manager.
  • Accompanies patients inside the facility upon arrival and delivers communication to the Receptionist and Dispatch Manager regarding the drop off.
  • Offers comfort and support to patients and their families.
  • Respects and protects patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
  • Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients and their possessions.
  • Possesses excellent driving capabilities.
  • Possesses the ability to de-escalate situations.
  • Maintains a secure, clean, and healthy work environment.
  • Routinely complies with the standards set forth by HIPAA.
  • Works as a highly dependable, independent member of the treatment team.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in work schedule.
  • Must be a committed team player willing to learn new skill sets.
